Post an ad that gets approved the first time

Follow these simple rules and your ad goes live faster. The pictures below show what is fine and what is not.

We want you to sell fast and meet the right buyers.

Every ad is checked before it goes live. Follow the dos and don'ts below and your ad is approved sooner. Ads that break the rules are rejected or removed, and the fee is not refunded. Problems you can fix, like a blurry photo or a wrong price, can be corrected by editing the ad.

One item in each ad

If you have three things to sell, post three ads. Buyers then find exactly what they are looking for.

Post one ad for each item or service.
Selling several similar things, such as three sofas? Give each one its own ad, with its own photos and price.
Do not bundle different products into one ad.

If this rule is broken: An ad with several items is rejected and the fee is not refunded. Post a separate ad for each item.

Pick the right category

Buyers search where they expect to find the item. An ad in the wrong place is missed and can be rejected.

Choose the category and sub-category a buyer would browse.
Do not put a phone under vehicles, or a car under furniture.
Not sure? Look at where similar ads are listed.

If this rule is broken: An ad in the wrong category is rejected and the fee is not refunded.

Add clear photos of your own item

An ad needs at least one clear photo. Upload photos one at a time and keep them free of writing.

Phone number or shop name written on the photo

Take photos in good light, from several sides, in high quality.
No phone numbers, shop names or website names written on the photo, unless the picture is yours.
No collages. Upload each picture separately.
No screenshots, and no pictures copied from another site.

You can fix this: An ad with no photo, blurry photos, screenshots or watermarks is not activated. Open it in My Listings, replace the photos and send it again. The fee already paid is not refunded.

Write the real price and details

Show the price the buyer will actually pay. A great price that turns out to be a deposit only upsets buyers.

Put the full price in the price field, not a deposit or a part payment.
Describe the real condition, age, model and what is included.
Spotted a mistake? Edit the ad and send it for review again.

You can fix this: A misleading price or wrong details can be corrected by editing the ad. The fee already paid is not refunded, and if your change raises the fee you pay the extra amount.

Keep your contact and location correct

Buyers can only reach you if the number works, and they filter by area. A wrong detail means lost buyers.

Check your phone number and WhatsApp setting before you submit.
Choose the real area where the item is.
Choose how buyers may contact you: chat, call or WhatsApp.

You can fix this: Wrong contact or location details can be corrected from My Listings. The fee already paid is not refunded.

Do not sell things that are not allowed

These can never be listed on Hazivo. If you are not sure whether something is allowed, do not post it.

Weapons

Guns, ammunition, airsoft, pellet and flare guns, and knives other than kitchen knives

Prescription medicines

Medicines that need a prescription

Tobacco, vapes and shisha

Nicotine products and electronic smoking devices

Fresh food and produce

Meat, fruit, vegetables and other perishable food

Live animals

Pets and other animals cannot be listed

Counterfeit goods

Fake copies of branded products

Adult content

Sexual or explicit material

Illegal items and services

Anything not allowed under UAE law, or restricted for import or export

Ordinary kitchen knives are fine. Other knives are not.
Services that are against UAE law cannot be advertised either.

If this rule is broken: These ads are removed, the account may be suspended, and the fee is not refunded.

You can edit an ad, but not change the item

Fix a price, add photos or correct details any time. To sell something different, post a new ad.

Edit as often as you need to fix details.
Every change is checked before it replaces the live version.
Be careful before you press submit: the item or service you advertise should stay the same.

If this rule is broken: Turning an ad into a different product or service gets it rejected, and the fee is not refunded.

Once it is sold, take it down

Do not write sold in the title, description or photos. Mark the ad as sold or remove it.

Open My Listings and mark the ad as sold, or remove it.
Fewer live ads means more time for the items still for sale.
A sold ad confuses other buyers.

If this rule is broken: An ad that says sold in its title, description or photos may be rejected or removed.

No spam, no repeats, one account

Post an item once. Put your time into one good ad that catches buyers' attention.

The same ad posted again and again, or from several accounts

One good ad is all you need.
Do not repost the same ad to push it up the list.
Use one account. Several accounts for the same seller are not allowed.
Ads that only ask to buy something are not allowed.

If this rule is broken: Spam, duplicate ads and extra accounts are removed and the fee is not refunded.

Buyers can see it and contact you. A standard ad stays live for 60 days.

If we cannot approve the ad, you will see the reason on the listing and in your notifications.

Problems you can fix

Missing, blurry or screenshot photos
Watermarks or collage photos
Wrong price, deposit price or wrong details
Wrong phone number or location
The word sold or a wanted request in the ad

Edit the ad in My Listings and send it again.

Rule violations

A prohibited item or service
Fake, fraudulent or counterfeit ads
Spam, duplicate ads or more than one account
The wrong category
More than one item in a single ad
Changing the item of a posted ad into a different product

The ad is rejected. Post a new, correct ad if you still want to sell.

Fees are not refunded when an ad is rejected. Read the Refund Policy before you post.
